DESCRIPTION:
This presentation offers an essential update for rural Wisconsin school districts on the latest Department of Public Instruction (DPI) regulations and guidelines related to educator licensing. Our goal is to equip participants with a thorough understanding of the pathways available for obtaining and expanding licensure within their districts.
We will explore various pathways for licensure endorsement, including the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Experience-Based Pathway, Professional Teacher Pathway, Traditional Add-On Pathway, District-Sponsored Pathway, and Initial Educator Pathway. These pathways provide diverse options for new teachers entering the profession, current teachers seeking additional licenses, substitute teachers, and paraprofessional staff aiming to advance their careers.
The presentation will also cover how CESA 7 and other Educator Preparation Programs can support these pathways, serving as vital resources for meeting your district's staffing needs. Participants will learn how to leverage these programs to effectively navigate the complex landscape of licensing rules and regulations set forth by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
By attending this presentation, participants will be better prepared to manage their district's licensing processes and develop innovative solutions to overcome common hurdles in staffing. Join us to discover how to make the most of licensing opportunities and support the professional growth of your educational staff.
