The Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance (WiRSA) is proud to announce that Judy Makovec, of the Riverdale School District, has been named the 2024 Rural Support Staff Person of the Year. Now beginning her 66th year with the district, Judy has served as a school secretary for 54 years and spent 12 years on the School Board, supporting every Riverdale administrator since 1959. Known for her professionalism, adaptability, and dedication, Judy has guided the district through major transitions while building strong relationships with generations of families, staff, and students.
