DESCRIPTION:
We would present a personal/professional development focused workshop on how the Colby School District has been using the principles of the Authentic Confidence platform with staff to improve personal development and professional satisfaction. The Colby School District started working with RISE Leadership in the spring of 2024.
Mark Duerwaechter would introduce information on what Authentic Confidence is, and how RISE Leadership works with people to help them develop into the best version of themselves. Patrick Galligan would then talk about why he brought these ideas to the staff of Colby, what results he has seen thus far with his staff in terms of personal and professional development, and what he also plans to work on with staff in the future under the umbrella of the Authentic Confidence approach.
PRESENTER: Mark Duerwaechter - Executive Coach - RISE Leadership Former Superintendent - Kaukauna School District
Mark Duerwaechter has been a loyal client and steward of Authentic Confidence since 2018 and has actively utilized his inherent strengths while working to overcome his areas of confidence improvement. Mark's area of expertise lies in implementing the Authentic Confidence Model, which encompasses a range of services such as assessment debriefs, keynote speeches, team-building workshops, and executive coaching sessions.
Before joining RISE Leadership, Mark had an impressive 34-year career in the public education sector, serving as a coach, teacher, high school principal, and finally as a Superintendent. Under his leadership, the Kaukauna Area School District experienced one of its most successful tenures, as attested by local media outlets. Mark's ability to establish reliable relationships with his colleagues is not only a strength but also reflects his deeply held values.PRESENTER: Dr. Patrick Galligan, Superintendent, Colby School District
Dr. Patrick Galligan is the superintendent of schools for the Colby School District. Prior to becoming superintendent in Colby, Patrick worked in the Wausau School District for 23 years as a social studies teacher, athletic director, associate principal and principal. Patrick started his teaching career as a social studies teacher at Columbus Catholic High School in Marshfield. Patrick earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College in Madison in 2022.
