The Community’s public school is the greatest discovery, and the cornerstone of our democratic society – Horace Mann

Good Morning,
As things settle in on the Governor’s Budget Proposal the process now moves to the Joint Finance Committee for review. This is the time for you to talk with your local legislators on the positives that are in the proposals as well as improvements that could be made to make these proposals more inclusive for all rural districts. It is important for our voices to be heard.

Remember to Vote Today
Please remind your staff and community about the importance of today’s primary for State Superintendent. I encourage you to look closely at the facts and which groups are supporting two of the candidates. We need a leader that keeps Public Education at the forefront of the agenda.

Welcome
District Administrator Kehl Arnson and the Viroqua School District to WiRSA. We look forward to working with you.

Great Discussions on the potential Impact of the Governor’s Budget Proposals
District Administrators Jamie Nutter of Fennimore and Chris Patritto of Hurley shared their thoughts on the Governor’s Budget proposals, both are WiRSA members. Jamie was on Sunday’s For the Record on Channel 3 in Madison and Chris was on Friday’s Here and Now on Wisconsin Public Television. Great job!
