NREA Conference Notes:
The NREA Conference in Columbus Ohio, was filled with many great speakers and presenter’s. Beyond the conference I had the opportunity to attend NREA State Directors Breakfast and the Battelle for Kids Rural Collaborative Initiative meetings. Both of these meetings gave me an opportunity to share the good ideas that are coming out of Wisconsin Rural Schools. Below are some quick links to resources that were presented at the conference: Battelle for Kids ESSA Guide

Wisconsin Talent Development Framework:
The Wisconsin Quality Educator Initiative (PI 34) was built on the premise that we would have a seamless system of educator development that began in preservice preparation and continued throughout an educator’s career. This would ensure a quality workforce to meet the human capital needs of our Wisconsin school districts. With a forecasted national shortage of educators, it is time to take stock of where we are at now and plan strategically for our future.
